Who is Jadore Studio and what do you do?

How can I check your workshop schedules?

We update our workshop schedules here. We also conduct classes with Naiise, and you can check out the schedule here. 

Where is Jadore Studio located? Do you have a physical storefront?

Jadore Studio currently works in a cosy work space in our home. We also use the space to conduct small classes for our workshops. It is located in the East of Singapore. 

I want to have workshop as part of my party/event! Do you conduct private/ corporate workshops?

Yes, we certainly do! Please write to us at hola.jadorestudio@gmail.com with as many details as you can provide.

What kind of payment mode do you accept?

All payments to Jadore Studio are via bank transfer or PayNow. We will provide the payment details upon receiving your booking request. 

Cancellation/ Refund/ Change of Workshop Sessions

Can I cancel my workshop booking?

There is strictly no cancellation or refund of booking upon confirmation. However, tickets are transferrable. 

Can I change to other workshop session after my seat is confirmed?

You may request to change your workshop session once to the same type of workshop, at least 3 weeks in advance from the date of workshop. 

Calligraphy

What is the difference between brush calligraphy and pointed pen calligraphy?

They are both the delicate art of penmanship. Brush calligraphy uses a brush pen with a flexible tip, pre-loaded with ink while pointed pen calligraphy uses the traditional nib and nib holder as the writing instrument. 

Help! I can't decide between brush and pointed pen calligraphy!

Brush calligraphy resolves the issue of ink flow which might be frustrating and discouraging for beginners. If you are picking up a hobby for leisure, brush calligraphy would make a good start. If you enjoy the relaxed process of acquiring a traditional skill, pointed pen calligraphy is perfect for you!

Watercolour

You have so many different type of watercolour workshops! How do I decide?

Each of our basic watercolour workshop is focusing on a specific topic and you will be learning different technique and style dedicated for each topic. My suggestion would be to follow your heart and choose a topic that pique your interest to begin your watercolour journey.

I have never try watercolour before, will the classes be suitable for me?

Yes of course! All our basic watercolour session are carefully design and planned for all beginners or participants with little knowledge in watercolour. We wish to embark your watercolour journey with you through interesting topic. We try our best to give close guidance on painting techniques to make you feel the joy of using this medium.

What are the materials/ brands that will be provided in class?

We provide student’s grade watercolour paint, brush set and 300gsm watercolour papers for use in class! All our materials are curated, and we make sure the instructors love the brands before we introduce them the students. Of course if you are looking for higher grade materials, we would love to share more with you too!:)

Do you offer intermediate watercolour class?

Yes! Currently, intermediate session is only open to private booking only. Participants are required to have some basic knowledge before booking an intermediate session. Please contact us for more enquiry of private session.

Wedding Stationeries

What kind of wedding stationeries do you provide?

We provide a whole range of wedding stationeries- including the whole wedding invitation suite, customized hand calligraphed wood sign, and guest's place cards. Have something in mind? Talk to us and we will be so glad to chat with you!

What is your turn-around time for wedding stationeries?

It really depends on each commission. Generally, we recommend to have the grace period:

Invitation suite- at least 4 months wedding date (taking into account of the time needed for distribution)

Place cards- as soon as you can confirm the guest list, preferably at least 3 months before the wedding. But we do understand that sometimes guest list cant get finalized till the wedding day, it would greatly help to send us the guest list batch by batch, so we can get ready something for the confirmed guests. 

Wood sign/ other ala carte items- 1 month from the wedding
