Basic strokes practice sheet
For anyone trying calligraphy for the first time, getting to start writing can be intimidating. This guide sheet is to help you have a try and to know your brush pen better.
Trace along the printed strokes and feel the action of the brush pen. Keep in mind the direction of each stroke.
Plain Square Grid
You can move on to the plain square grid practice sheets when you wish to practice more on your basic strokes.
There may be that one or two strokes which you find harder to master- it is perfectly normal. Take your time and make use of the versatility of the plain square grid to practice more.
Remember the fundamentals- fix your own x-height, ascender line and descender line. You have the flexibility to adjust the size to your liking using the 3:2:3 ratio
Copperplate Practice Sheet
This format is designed for you to practice letters and words in the Copperplate Style. It has the Ascender: x-heigh : Descender in 3:2:3 ratio as well as the slant line at 55 degrees.
